Religious Life and Worship

Adat Shalom-Emanuel is part of the Masorti movement in Israel. In addition to supporting over 50 congregations, plus youth groups, army programs, social activities, religious affairs, and educational programs, the Masorti movement represents the religious interests of Conservative Judaism in Israel.
Masorti congregations like Adat Shalom-Emanuel play a key role in Israel by bringing traditional Jewish values to new immigrants and native-born Israelis. Assimilation is not a problem in Israel but secularism is, contributing to a generation of Israeli Jews who are in danger of having no connection with Judaism.
Approximately 50,000 Israelis are members and affiliates of Masorti congregations and programs, involving 125,000 Israelis each year.
How We Worship
Adat Shalom-Emanuel provides a pluralistic religious environment, based on traditional Jewish values and modern cultural themes.
Families worship together. Ashkenazic and Sephardic practices are recognized and celebrated, creating a true multi-cultural house of worship. The members of the congregation come from diverse cultural and national backgrounds, contributing to Adat Shalom-Emanuel's unique religious atmosphere.
